Laura-Lee (Cavin' In)
By Justin Rosolino and Billy Cerveny
Yesterday I left Atlanta,
Heading for Louisiana.
I got my mind on the one who I want to hold onto again.
The radio is playing Dylan,
He's singing everything I'm feeling.
Oh and Lord he reminds me of the one that I'll soon see -
She's my shelter when I'm needing cover,
ain't never gonna leave her for another lover.
I'm telling you again, I thought I was a strong man,
but now I'm cavin' in.
Watching every passing memory
as New Orleans is getting near me.
And I thought that there was no one who I would belong to again.
She's running barefoot through the high tides,
Chasing the silver painted sunrise.
And now she's got me singing.
She's dancing circles in the morning air,
a chain of daisies through her golden hair -
Oh Laura-Lee, what will become of me...
